Oh my goodness… the countdown is on!!! We are now counting days, not months!
There are just 23 days until the big day!!! I would have liked to have blogged more along the way however life has been pretty hectic up to now! Myself and Scott are just recovering from our hen and stag weekends! I had the BEST weekend ever! The girls took me on an amazing trip to London to see the one and only Dreamboys, followed by Life Drawing and Ministry of Sound. On top of all that I also met some of the Made in Chelsea crew which really made my night!
My Maid of Honour and Bridesmaid really put 110% into the weekend to make every touch so special. I loved every minute and to get to spend time with all my closest friends was just amazing. My mum and mother-in-law came too which was so nice to have them bond with everyone.
I wish I could say my stag arrived home safe and sound… I wanted to repeat my weekend however I think he was quite glad to get home and have a rest. He had a fab time with his friends but the bruises on his body from paint balling are a lot more painful than I think he let on!
But now the countdown to the wedding is really on… this is the time when all the final preparations come into play. We have chosen our band playlist and are meeting with our photographer in a couple of weeks. We decided it would be nice to send a message out to our friends and family for requests of songs so that we know there will be a few favourites for every one on the night!
I have my final hair and make up trial next week followed by a final fitting of my dress. I have only seen my dress once last month and so I am very anxious and nervous to try it on again as there isn’t much time before the wedding to do much more to it!
I have decided to take a few days out of my busy schedule to spend a bit of quality time with my parents in Spain (also to top up my tan) next week which will be a nice breather to take before the run up begins. I feel it is important to try and relax as much as possible during these next few weeks as I don’t want my body to be run down in the run up.
Our wedding planner, Helen has been of great assistance finalising these last checks for us which has made me feel more relaxed. With the logistics and timings of our day at St Paul’s it is important our timeline is spot on and Helen is key for this liaising with our suppliers and key people to ensure everything runs smoothly.
So now it’s a case of finalising table plans, menus, decor, order of service and off we go…!!!
Where has the time gone. I’m SO excited now!
